“Invictus Westshore Owner and Head Instructor Alexander Erwin holds a 2nd degree black belt in Japanese Goshin Jiu Jitsu (JJJ) under Ari Knazan, and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) under Ari Knazan.
Alex has been training Jiu Jitsu for over 17 years, starting when he was a youth and continuing to the present day. Alex has always maintained a self defence first view for Jiu Jitsu and often blends aspects of sport BJJ with traditional battlefield techniques from JJJ.
Alex has been instructing in both art forms of Jiu Jitsu for over 7 years, and has traveled the world attending martial arts seminars to further his knowledge of the arts.”
